Biography

Juli Suàrez (Girona 1967). He currently lives in Banyoles. He is a filmmaker, producer, screenwriter and researcher. Trained at the ERAM-University of Girona in Audiovisual Communication and Production, as well as the specialization of Documentary Direction, he expanded his knowledge in workshops with Abbas Kiarostami , Patricio Guzmán, Asghar Farhadi and Isabel Coixet.

 

He has developed his work in research, documentary creation and writing, with social issues and human rights as the articulating axis. His works oscillate between experimental cinema and documentary.

 

He started his first productions in 2015. He is the founder of the LGC Films production company, in which he develops his role as director and producer, filming documentaries and fiction short films being awarded and selected in different festivals.

He maintains to this day his relationship between feature film documentary and short fiction. Waiting for the time to come to launch his first feature film debut. But, as he himself says: "everything will come, for now we will continue walking"
